Discover the location of Log and Config Files to assist with troubleshooting and changes to your Naverisk instance.

Introduction

The following will provide you with the location of Log and Config Files that can assist in either troubleshooting an issue or making changes to your Naverisk instance and/or Agent Devices.

1.0 Windows

Note the below assumes that the Naverisk Application is installed on the default C: and please be aware that the directory path of C:\Program Files (x86)\ is for 64bit systems (Naverisk Site Controller is not compatible with 32bit operating systems).  

  • Executable - C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk\Agent\NAS.exe

  • Log files:

  • C:\ProgramData\Naverisk\Logs

  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Naverisk\Logs (Windows XP)

  • Agent Packages - C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk\Agent\Packages

  • Email templates - C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk\SiteController\EmailTemplates

  • Website - C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk Website\Website

Config files:

Naverisk Agent - C:\ProgramData\Naverisk\Agent\NAS.cfg
Network Controller - C:\ProgramData\Naverisk\ Network Controller\NC.cfg
Naverisk Website - C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk Website\Website\web.config
Site Controller - C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk\SiteController\NaveriskSiteController.exe.config

Reporting Service - C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk\ReportingService\Naverisk\Reports\ReportingService.exe.config


The Network Controller - Site Controller File Transfer queue (NCQueue) is located at:

  • C:\ProgramData\Naverisk\Network Controller\DataStorage\

If you would like to view the SNMP scan results, they are available on the Probe device: C:\ProgramData\Naverisk\Logs\Package_SNMP YYYY-MM-DD.txt

Or if you are using SNMP Traps, the logged information can be found at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk\Agent\Packages\SnmpPackage\SNMP\Snmptrap.log

The Report Logo is located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk\ReportingService\Images\ReportLogo.png

The Website logo is located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk Website\Website\Resources\Images\irisLogo.png

2.0 Apple Mac

Mac EI Capitan & above:

  • Log files - /Applications/Naverisk.app/Contents/macOS/Naverisk

  • Config files - /Applications/Naverisk.app/Contents/MacOS/Naverisk/Agent/

  • Executable - /Applications/ Naverisk.app/Contents/MacOS

  • Packages = /Applications/Naverisk.app/Contents/MacOS/Naverisk/Packages/

  • Service defn - /Library/LaunchDaemons/

Mac (older versions):

  • Log files - /var/root/Library/Logs/Naverisk/

  • Config files - /Library/Naverisk/

  • Executable - /usr/share/Naverisk/

  • Packages = /usr/share/Naverisk/Packages/

  • Service defn - /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/

3.0 Linux & Citrix

  • Log files - /root/Naverisk

  • Config file - /var/Naverisk/Agent

  • Executable - /usr/share/Naverisk

  • Service defn - /etc/systemd/system/naverisk-agent.service – Ubuntu 16 and above

  • Service defn - /etc/init/naverisk-agent.conf – Ubuntu 14 and below
