Upgrade your tray client to the advanced User Portal

This guide will help you upgrade to the new advanced version of the user portal released with Naverisk 2024 R3 in July 2024 for Windows 10 and all subsequent versions.

Follow the steps below to upgrade your managed devices from the tray client to the advanced user portal:

  1. Go to Naverisk Settings

  2. Open the Tray Icon page

  3. Click the Enable User Portal dropdown

  4. Select the “Advanced” option

  5. Click the "Save Settings" button

  6. The devices will start downloading the new User Portal’s files. This process can take 5-10 minutes.

  7. Once the download is complete, please restart the device or the logged in user’s session.

  8. The User Portal will relaunch itself and be accessible from the Windows tray system.

To open the User Portal from the Windows tray system icon:

  1. Right-click the icon.

  2. Select the desired tab.

The User Portal allows users of managed assets to:

  1. Send support requests with attachments directly from the User Portal.

  2. Receive notifications from Naverisk users

    To send a Notification to an end user running Advanced Tray Client, select 'Send Notification' from Device Tasks on a Device page

  3. Chat with end-users (Please note that only a technician can initiate a chat session).

    Initiate a Chat Session from the Devices page, clicking on the icon of the logged in user running Advanced Tray Client
