Currently Arma doesn’t support the backup of encrypted files that the administrators are unable to open. These files can be generated on the local device or on a network share.

Arma uses VSS to backup open files

Backing up live or opened files can be very complex. When VSS encounters a problem with either of these files, an error will be recorded in the Device's audit log. Arma cannot guarantee the validity of these files if backed up. You may also see a similar error in the logs as below

If these types of files are causing errors or your backups aren’t completing with the selected files, we recommended excluding them from your backup profile.

You can do this from the profile under data and Exclusion Filters
