All You Can Eat (AYCE) Per Device Agreements
Updated over 7 months ago

This Agreement is used for clients that want purchase support against specific devices for an Agreement period and not be billed per hour. A common example is supporting all of a client’s servers for a fixed amount per month. An AYCE Per Device Agreement has an End Date, and can be assigned to up to a specified number of devices.

AYCE Per Device Agreements should set ‘Require Time on Ticket to Close’ enabled to track the time consumed and not set to Billable due to the client having purchased support for devices.

The AYCE Per Device Agreement below starts on 1-6-2020 to monitor 100 devices for a year. This Agreement can be applied to up to 100 devices. The Agreement should be renewed before 31-5-2021 for continuous uninterrupted service.

Starts At - The start date of the current Agreement.

Ends At - The date at which the current Agreement ends.

Max Device Count - The number of devices this Agreement can be used for. Use 0 for unlimited.

Devices Count - The number of devices that have been assigned to this Agreement.

Hours To Date - The number of hours that have been used for services against this Agreement.

Internal Cost Per Hour - An overview of company expenditures to compare with the amount being charged to Clients.

Alerts for AYCE Per Device Agreements:

Only one type of alert is needed for AYCE Agreements: an alert for the renewal date. When an alert is triggered it will create a sales ticket in Naverisk.

The example below shows alert that will be generated 7 days before the Agreement’s renewal date.

You can also alert on the % of the time that has passed within the Agreement.

Assigning Agreement to Devices

In order for them to be covered by the Agreement, all relevant devices must have the Agreement assigned to them, either by Device Type or specifically by Device Details.

By Device Type, set the Agreement under Settings > Device Types > Agreement Type. This will apply the Agreement to all devices of that Device Type.

By Device Details, go to the Device tab, select the specific device, and select the Attributes tab. From the Agreement drop-down menu, select the Agreement from the list and press Save.

Once the number of devices specified in the Agreement have been assigned, it is not possible to assign any further devices. You will need to either increase the number of devices in the Agreement, or un-assign another device first.
