Introduction

This document outlines how to reset your Naverisk Login Password should you have forgotten it or have been logged out as well as reassigning a User Account to the Full Access Rights. This is only applicable for Onsite Naverisk instances. If you are a Cloud user, please contact support@naverisk.com to reset your password.

Please remember to take a backup of your Naverisk database prior to any changes.

1.0 Password Reset

  1. Verify that you are working with the correct SQL database. To verify this, you can check the following file:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk\SiteController\NaveriskSiteController.exe.config

If you search for DataAccessLayerDSN, you can see the connection detail to the SQL database which Naverisk is using.

2. Stop the Naverisk services (ServiceMonitor, SiteController, Agent, Reports).
3. Open SQL Management Studio and connect to the Naverisk database
4. Identify the UserID of the User that needs to be reset

7. Start the Naverisk Services (SiteController, Agent, ServiceMonitor, Reports)
8. Log in to confirm that the password has been updated (the new password = root)

2.0 Changing the Access Rights to 'Full'

  1. Verify that you are working with the correct SQL database. To verify this, you can check the following file:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Naverisk\SiteController\NaveriskSiteController.exe.config

If you search for DataAccessLayerDSN, you can see the connection details to the SQL database which Naverisk is using.

2. Stop the Naverisk Services (ServiceMonitor, SiteController, Agent, Reports).
3. Open SQL Management Studio and connect it to the Naverisk database
4. Identify the GroupID of the User that need to be reset

6. Start the Naverisk Services (SiteController, Agent, ServiceMonitor, Reports)
7. Log in to confirm that the Group has been updated.
